His active participation in the Carbonari uprisings cost him a death sentence, and the properties thus passed to his sister Virginia, wife of Bonifazio Dal Pozzo d'Annone, integrating into the Dal Pozzo family. Claudio Dal Pozzo d'Annone, was particularly known for his expertize in breeding Cocker Spaniels. The Stables were his favorite place inside the property, where he raised and cared for his dogs. Over the years, Claudio bred more than 40 Cocker Spaniels, winning numerous awards throughout Italy.
